Weekend Getaway from Mumbai & Pune — Nashik Farm Resort

If you live in Mumbai or Pune and want to get genuinely away — not a hotel with a pool but actual farmland, actual quiet, and food that grew 50 metres from your plate — Nashik is the answer. And within Nashik, the Trimbakeshwar belt is where the real countryside begins.

From Mumbai — 3.5 Hours

SwapnaKiran is 160km from Mumbai via NH3 — the Kasara Ghat route through the Western Ghats. Leave Mumbai by 7am on a Saturday, drive through the ghats as the temperature drops, and arrive at the farm by 10:30am with the whole day ahead. The drive itself is one of the better ones out of Mumbai.

From Pune — 4 Hours

From Pune, SwapnaKiran is 210km via Sangamner. The road takes you through the northern Sahyadri plateau — open, flat, and completely different from the congested Pune-Mumbai corridor. Arrive Friday evening, leave Sunday afternoon.

What a Weekend at SwapnaKiran Looks Like

Saturday morning: walk the mango orchards, watch the farm start its day. Midday: pool, lunch from the kitchen — dal, bhat, seasonal sabzi, all organic. Afternoon: drive 3km to Trimbakeshwar Temple for the evening aarti. Dinner at the farm as it gets dark and cool. Sunday: Anjaneri Mountain trek or Dugarwadi Waterfall, then the drive back.

No itinerary is required. The farm sets its own pace and most guests find they do far less than planned and feel far more rested than expected.
